The Carey Theology Institute at Our Lady of Carey Seminary College reports Carlton Jenet Harold Emerine and Mrs Robert Hale completed a one year program. Opened in 1962 the institute plans a four year course with two subjects each year and 30 class hours per subject. Classes resume the first Sunday evening of October.

Park vandalism probe targets Memorial Park damage
Police report vandals broke a conduit at the shuffleboard court and damaged slates in Memorial Park between 9:45 p m Sunday and 5 30 a m Monday. A rock struck the restroom door and waste cans were overturned. A second incident damaged a public telephone at Indian Trail Motel but no money was taken. Wyandot County sheriff’s deputies are investigating.

Freak groundhog found near Swan Rubber Co stockyard
A unusual female woodchuck was found noon June 8 behind Swan Rubber Co. Al Hucke shot it after taking it home. Its two lower front teeth curved into the nose. It was shown at Moore's Store then taken by Stanley Opper to a taxidermist in Findlay for mounting. John Welsh could not age the animal, noting it looked underdeveloped possibly from feeding issues.
