City Council Passes Spitting Prohibition Ordinance
The City Council with Mayor Chambers and Clerk Stahl present approved the first reading of a spitting ban on sidewalks and public places. Widow Mrs Eliza Clark Kear Died in Toledo at 72
Mrs Eliza Clark Kear widow of Byron Kear died Thursday May 28 at her daughter Mrs Elora E Gitles home in Toledo. Born December 23 1838 she was 72 years 5 months 5 days old. She married Byron Kear April 24 1853 and had three daughters Adah Emma Flora. Survived by two brothers and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral held Saturday in Carey with Rev J H Williams delivering the sermon. Interment in Kear cemetery. School enumeration followed in the Carey district showing 274 males and 264 females among ages 6 to 21.
