Shrine Feast Draws Big Attendance and 48 Confirmations
More than a thousand pilgrims visited the shrine of Our Lady of Consolation for the Feast of the Blessed Virgin. Bishop Schrembs of Toledo confirmed 48 candidates and delivered a sermon in the basement church. A 560 person excursion from Lima and Delphos arrived by Northern Ohio train. A 21 year old, Catherine Daugherty, regained use of her legs after seven years of infirmity. The week featured several priestly visits and multiple candlelit processions.

Bees swarm over Main Street and cluster at auto
A 3:30 p m Saturday swarm descended on Main Street in front of Krupp's meat market and Kehr's bakery. The bees settled on Wm Sammet's car as Elmer Hunter guided them away with a tree branch leading them to his livery barn before moving them to his North Street home.

Death at Ash and Hooks store ends in early Monday
Henry Reinhart of four miles north of town died suddenly at Ash and Hooks hardware store Monday afternoon after examining a spray pump. Lifesaving efforts failed. funeral held at St Nicholas church Frenchtown. Born April 14 1867 in Big Spring township he farmed all his life. Survived by a large family including six daughters and four sons.

Death of Mrs. Joe Stahl Near Bloomville
Mrs. Joe Stahl died suddenly at age sixty six at her Bloomville area home due to heart trouble. The Stahl family moved to Bloomville about twelve years ago and ran a local butcher shop with son Welby and husband Mr Stahl. The funeral, conducted by a Methodist minister, was held Friday afternoon with many local friends in attendance.
