Automobiles Collide Near County Fair Grounds Injuring Five
Curtis B. Hare of Upper Sandusky and Richard Carter were injured in a Sunday collision north of the county fair grounds. Mark Selby and W C Hare sustained cuts and bruises after Selby’s Cadillac overturned into a ditch. Carter suffered a fractured elbow and severe head, arm and hand cuts and is under nurse care.

Boy Scout James Anderson Dies in Sidney Tent Collapse
During a severe storm last Saturday in Sidney the Redpath Chautauqua tent collapsed injuring several. One death followed the incident: James Anderson Jr., 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Anderson. He served as a guard at the tent and was related to local families including Mrs. C D Smith, Mrs. Ella Anderson, and Dr. Fred Anderson of Findlay. Dr. Anderson attended the funeral.

National Quarries Appeals to Higher Court in Ohio Case
The National Quarries Company of Carey Ohio filed an appeal with the federal Court of Appeals after Judge Killits district court in Toledo dismissed its injunction suit against the Detroit Toledo and Ironton railway. The railroad seeks to condemn quarry land at Lima Ohio for yard expansion, which National Quarries says would ruin part of its plant and blunt efficiency by about 350000 dollars. The dispute has dragged through the courts with both sides urging priority for their program.

Auto Runs Over Boy On Rubber Plant Grounds

Vanlue residents were stunned as Harry J Morehart shot himself in the garage at his home after returning from a vacation. The longtime community leader and former mayor left four children and was survived by siblings and aging parents.
