Trampled by horse injures W D McDonald east of town
W D McDonald was severely injured Tuesday forenoon when his driving horse knocked him down near the barn and trampled his head and shoulders. Foster son Frank of Toledo advised onlookers as the injured man recalled the accident. The horse, startled by a sack placed on its back to deter flies, caused the mishap. The victim was taken to Merry Hospital, Tiffin, for treatment of deep head and arm gashes and other bruises.

Mrs Anna McGill died last Thursday morning at the home of her son A P McGill in Muscatine Iowa after four weeks illness due to age. She would have turned ninety in August. Survived by three living sons Joseph McGill Urbana A P McGill and C W McGill. Funeral held in Urbana with remains brought there from Muscatine.

Rural Carriers elect officers and select convention delegates
The County Rural Carriers association met in the courthouse assembly room Saturday evening. Carl W. Ruopp was elected president, Hubert Fisher vice president, and Alva Criger secretary and treasurer. Yohe and Criger were chosen as delegates to the state convention in August at Washington Court House. Lunch followed the session. Carey's baseball team beat Tiffin City 9 to 2, with seven runs in the fifth inning turning the game. Other defeated towns this season include Marion Findlay Upper Sandusky Fortstoria and Lima.

Negro is Sentenced in Liquor Case Near Carey
Harry Brown, linked to a Crawford camp shooting, faced court on a liquor selling charge. Judge Charles F. Close presided as the affidavit was read, Brown pled not guilty and requested trial, evidence was heard, and he was found guilty. He was fined $200 plus costs and jailed in Wyandot County until payment or security is provided.
