David Robison Dies in Electrocution Accident
David E. Robison, 31, of Wharton, was electrocuted Saturday while washing feet near a pool. He touched a live clothesline connected to a TV tower and died at home four miles northwest of Wharton. He was born January 22, 1934, and survived by wife Shirley Ruppright, two children, his parents, a sister and grandparents. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Bristol Funeral Home with burial in Zion Bloom Cemetery.

Carey volunteer firemen extinguished three fires this past week. Two were due to faulty wiring. A blaze at the Carey Food Locker on S Vance Street started at 4 am Saturday with no damage estimate given. A grass fire at 1 22 pm Monday caused negligible damage. A Monday 2 27 pm fire at Howard Pahl’s home on County Road 95 was caused by an overheated clothes dryer and its contents were lost.
