Death of Mrs David Chambers in Biglick township

Mrs. Sarah A. Sargent Chambers died at her Biglick township home after five weeks of illness. Born April 16 1838 she was 77 years 3 months and 5 days old. She married David Chambers in 1859 who died in 1910. Survived by seven children including H G Chambers C A Chambers and C S Chambers of Biglick and daughters Mrs S F Esterley and Mrs H E Dickey Findlay. Funeral July 238 at St John s church with Rev E L Spaid officiating. Interment in St John s cemetery. Pallbearers were four sons D A Chambers H G Chambers C A Chambers and C A Chambers and grandsons Ralph Esterley Marcus Dickey.

Injury at North Street oil operation halts work

Friday evening C H Travis suffered a deep cut and artery severing injury to his left hand while oiling and regulating a newly built engine at Standard Oil Co tanks on North street. He used a galvanized measuring stick and it struck a wheel spoke causing a 1.5 inch gash. A Chautauqua planning meeting for July 29 at 7 30 pm will discuss preparations with Earl W Porter present.

Auto crash wrecks storefront corner injures bystander

Mrs Wonder drove south on Vance street when a sudden turn to avoid Miss Weaver sent the car onto the sidewalk striking Vigor’s store corner. A pier fragment and bricks were forced loose, injuring Mrs Loren Stahl and startling bystanders. The windshield and bumpers were damaged. no pedestrians were hurt seriously.

Bish family attends funeral for Mrs. Andrew J. Bish

Mr and Mrs George W Bish and their son attended the funeral of Mrs Andrew J Bish of Findlay on Tuesday. She died Sunday after a long illness. She was sister to Mrs J W Peters and to Winfield and William Stahl of west of town. She married in 1880 here. One daughter is Mrs Fred Gear of Toledo.
