Father Mizer to Lead Lima Parish Next Week
Reverend John Mizer will assume duties as pastor of St. John's Catholic Church in Lima, one of the Toledo diocese’s largest congregations. He previously led St. Michael's Church and earlier served at Carey’s church, with Bishop Schrembs promoting his assignment. Reverend W S Ogle of Gibsonburg will succeed him locally.

Missionary Tour by Benton Ridge Household Preaches in Carey

A family party rode by motorcycle. the father mother and young son each delivered talks. Death of Franklin Franks Findlay attorney dies in Texas
Franklin Franks, a Findlay attorney prominent in Carey, died Monday morning in San Antonio Texas after moving there in November for health. Born in Wayne County in 1863 he practiced here until April when illness worsened his condition. His wife, daughter of Rev C A Barnes, was with him at his death.

Ohio National Guard to Enter Camp at Yellow Springs

Very Fine Cherries From Washington Sister Visit
On Friday A Eshelman received about four quarts of cherries from his sister Mrs Mollie Hayn of Wilbur Washington. The cherries were dark, meaty and sweet and resembled plums. Mrs Hayn visited here about two years ago and later moved with her family to Wiltar eighty miles south of Spokane. They had faced hard times in Nebraska before reaching their new home. Now Mrs Hayn is the possessor of 2 section of land.

Pavilion Plans for Park Pavilion by Snyder and Huber
At the Monday council meeting W H Snyder presented park pavilion plans drawn by Toledo architect Huber. The 8 by 110 foot building includes porches on both sides and one end, 10 foot high by interior 18 feet, a rear kitchen 12 by 56 feet and a 12 by 40 foot stage with a hardwood floor. Estimated cost is 5000 dollars. construction is to proceed this season.
