After cancellation of induction calls for 18-year-olds effective May 15 and extension of the selective service law, 61 Findlay and Hancock county 18-year-olds have registered at two boards. Miss Claribel Corbin Killed In Bucyrus Highway Crash
Miss Corbin 30, of Wharton, died instantly in a collision with a truck trailer on the Lincoln highway west of Bucyrus. William King 30 of Crestline, suffered severe injuries and amputation of his right arm, with a punctured lung and head lacerations. The couple, who were to wed Wednesday, were en route to visit relatives when a disabled trailer parked with flares on the highway was struck after King's car came from the east at high speed. Miss Corbin was a beautician in Crestline. Funeral services were held in Wharton with burial in Wharton cemetery.
