Paratrooper Judson Virden Injured in Jump at Fort Benning
Pfc Judson Virden a paratrooper at Fort Benning Georgia was injured Friday when his parachute drifted over Lawson Air Base and crashed on the concrete runway. Ligaments torn in one leg and possible pelvic fracture. He was unconscious briefly and confined to hospital. He told his parents during a long distance call that pelvic injuries would be X rayed. This was his 18th jump. Virden had been home on furlough and returned to Fort Benning July 11.
