The village council met Monday night and approved a long list of expenses. Payments cover salaries for July for city officials and staff, utilities, fuel, hardware, road work, payrolls for electric and water lines, street work, sanitation, gas and kerosene, and miscellaneous repairs and services. A storm Friday night and earlier rain swept Wyandot County with high winds and lightning. Tree limbs fell across Upper Sandusky and Harpster while farm buildings and a church roof were damaged. Federal agents to quiz men about bogus coins
Warrants are expected to be issued after federal agents investigate counterfeit activity in Tiffin. Men suspected of possessing counterfeit coins during a visit in Tiffin will be questioned.
