The Farmers and Sportsmen Protective Association met at the town hall July 11. Members favored a city friendly stag season plan and tasked a committee to prepare hunting notices and landowner access cards. Secretary reports 130 sportsmen and 45 former members. A September meeting is set for August 8. The Ohio conservation commission will save about 20000 by switching to combined tag license forms for 1940 tags printed on linen. The commission authorized 800000 fishing license buttons with window to show license numbers, easing matching and cutting costs.

Vendors aided in sales tax reports in Wyandot County
Miss Chair Gipson of the department of taxation will assist Wyandot County vendors in preparing and filing sales tax reports for the period ending June 380. Woman Injured When Car Leaves Road Near Carey
Mrs Jessie McMillan 70 of Mt Cleemus is hospitalized after an automobile crash on Route 23 two miles north of Carey about 11 am Tuesday. The La Salle coupe driven by Mrs Julius Beers of Traverse City skidded on wet pavement, turning over. McMillan was thrown from the car and severely injured. All three women were taken to Findlay hospital. Miss Beers planned to enroll at Denison University in Granville.
