Kiwanis Club Plans Relief Drive for Storm District
The Kiwanis and Red Cross members met for a Monday luncheon to organize a $300 fundraiser for northern Ohio storm relief. Women would solicit funds in the district while Kiwanis men supported business districts and Camp Fire girls assisted. Harold Dible and Robert Mitten traveled by auto from Wash wauk Minnesota to their home, bringing a live porcupine captured near a spring. Harold used a belt noose to secure the animal and ferried it in a wash boiler strapped to the car. The porcupine, about the size of a hog, remains alive and healthy, with plans to house it at Carey park.

Accident pins engineer to wall at office in Bellefonte
George W Palnoe chief engineer at the American Lime and Stone Company was admitted to Bellefonte hospital after being pinned against a wall by a car. He had left the office about five o clock and was cranking the car when it started in gear. Witnesses moved the car and he was taken to hospital. His condition is not critical but he will be out of active duty for a time.
