Death of Michael Thom Leaves Community in Mourning
Michael Thom a respected farmer from three miles northeast of town died Friday morning at ten after suffering blood poisoning following a nasal boil opened with a pocket knife. Born May 15, 1847 in New Riegle Seneca county he was 63. Survived by wife Kate Mathias four sons and two daughters. memorial service at Our Lady of Consolation church officiated by Rev J G Mizer. Interment at St. Marys cemetery with local pallbearers.
