The Rev. Robert Fast pastor of the Wharton Church of God was bound over to the Wyandot County Grand Jury on a second degree manslaughter charge. The case stems from a June 14 accident that killed 2 year old Stephen Lee, son of Richard Traxler of Wharton. Fast pleaded not guilty at arraignment and posted a $500 bond.

Sheriff Vo Dean McAllister reports four Wyandot countians arrested for petty larceny linked to two thefts the previous night. Suspects include Robert E. McQuiston, 21, of McCutchenville Paul Craft, 18, of Sycamore and two 16 year olds from Carey and Sycamore. Items stolen include 20 gallons of gasoline a 2 hp Briggs Stratton engine a spotlight and hub caps from farms near McCutchenville and Sycamore. Arrests were made by 1 a.m. Wednesday within a day of the reports.

Mountain Trip Ends in Cloud Burst and Flooded Roads

Terry Kitzler, 2, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Kitzler, suffered a broken hip and minor scratches after falling beneath his father’s pickup in Blanchard Valley area last week.
