Elza Jacobs absent so president read Glasgow convention report from June 7 to 10 noting 415 delegates with 300 from the US and others from foreign countries. Refreshments followed and social hour. Next meeting with Mrs C D Hoff on Friday August 12.

S Harvey Bailey of Charleston Illinois former Carey man and brother of Rev W Elmer Bailey visited Carey after winning the first prize of $1000 in a Woolson Spice Co sales contest. Herman Sielken of New York offered four prizes for the best percentage increase for the year ending June 30 1910. Bailey nearly doubled his list and earned the top award.

Woman's Missionary Society Holds Ohio Conference Session
The Ohio branch of the Woman's Home and Foreign Missionary Society of the United Evangelical church held its first session at Memorial United Evangelical church with about twenty five delegates. Highlights included devotions by Mrs J Q Smoke, reports from Columbus, and an address by Miss Marie Hasenpfleng on China. A large audience attended evening events and a Saturday program featured talks on religious growth and mission work plus a drive to support local and overseas missions.
