Memorial Service Held by Pythian Sisters at Hall

Grand Jury Report and Indictments in Ohio County
The grand jury reported to Judge Scofield and was discharged after examining forty witnesses. Five indictments were handed up, including burglary and grand larceny for Raymond Smith and assault and battery for County Detective Suelomon Fling. The body urged jail repairs and repainting and lamented a Supreme Court discharge of James Goodlove, a prior man slaughter convict.

At a regular East ern Star meeting the worthy matron Mrs. A H Myers was presented with a three year commission as grand representative of New Jersey in Ohio by Ohio Grand Worthy Patron W J Newhard. Lawn Party at Patterson Home Adds Whimsy and Lanterns
On Friday evening about sixty friends gathered on the Patterson lawn hosted by Mr. Ross Patterson and Mr. Franklin Newhard. Invitations were poems, lanterns and bunting brightened the lawn and verandah while Mrs. C. G. Spencer, in gypsy disguise, told fortunes.
