Sixty Hampshire Red pullets owned by Mr and Mrs Henry Lortz south of Carey were killed at 5 am Saturday. Two dogs from nearby farms were found at the scene and Dog Warden Jack Stalter says they will be destroyed. Pullets valued about $90. Stalter urges dog owners who bought dogs recently from out of state or those with dogs due to reach three months old after July 1 to buy licenses at half price.

The 1950 basic loan rate is $2.11 per bushel for Wyandot county wheat. Last year it was $2.07. The rate applies to U S No 1 grade. Kromer Injured In Cherry Picking Fall At Home
Kromer fractured a vertebra last Thursday while picking cherries at Dean McGill's home. A ladder limb broke, tossing him about 16 feet. He was taken to Findlay hospital Sunday for X rays showing a crushed vertebra and will be cast and kept for several days.
