Wyan dot County FFA youths win camp scholarships
Jerry Reinhart of the Carey Chapter is one of three Wyan dot county youths to receive a scholarship to the FFA camp at Camp Muskingum near Carrolton July 23 27. Thirteen county boys will attend the camp with about 300 others. Garey students Paul Grubel Bill Haford Robert Wilson Steve Long Keith Phillips and advisor Carl Cupp also named. Dean Leichter of Upper Sandusky and Paul Snyder of Mohawk are the other scholarship winners. Stephen Gottfried John Smalley and James Welly of Upper Sandusky will share Leichtey's scholarship.

The Carey High School Class of 1934 plans a Sunday reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Stombaugh on W Findlay Street with former principal Prof. Wayne Huffman and Mrs. Huffman as guests. A potluck supper will close the day co hosted by Mrs. Kenneth Kitzler. Prof. Huffman likely to evoke memories of C H S days. Four young people selected by the Lutheran Churches of America as Caravaners visit with Luther Leaguers of Christ Lutheran Church. Two Youths Involved In Accidents Recently
Carey Police reported two youth related crashes in Memorial Park and at Frederick and Patterson Streets. Kenneth Niederkohr aged 17 drove a 1960 Ford into an electric pole causing $430 damage and a cut lip. Gottfried, 17, drove a 1958 Ford into a pole after another vehicle allegedly forced him off, with $60 damage to the right front door and molding.

Ralph J. Ward 35 formerly of Carey but living in Risingsun was killed at 2 15 am Sunday July 5 when his northbound car crashed into a bridge abutment on Ohio 199 near Risingsun. He was traveling 65 70 mph in a 15 mph zone and died of multiple fractures and head injuries. Survived by Estella Dyer Ward wife and three daughters Kimberly Katie Jo Rita, plus brothers and sisters.
