A 90 pound gun was delivered to Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey de la Hamaide last Thursday and their son was named Robert Dale. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lytle and Miss Bessie Lytle visited Columbus over the weekend to attend an aunt’s funeral.
Ernest Dunn or Carey was fined a total of 1000 in two liquor cases heard by Judge Charles F. Close in common pleas court. Dunn admitted violating liquor laws but denied the charged instance, promising to refrain from further violations. Key testimony came from Bertha Nye of Carey. His new Buick was returned after liquor found, and he received 30 days to pay the fine. Zelmer Spears a 12 year old Lovell resident was arrested by Officer Andy Greer on a bicycle theft charge in Fostoria. An officer from Fostoria arrived Friday to return Spears and the bicycle to that city where he was later released. He had walked to Fostoria and rode the bicycle back to Carey after telling local children he lived here.
Tonight Thursday Methodist Church holds devotional services led by Mr Hood's class with the pastor to follow on the Life of Christ study. Official Board meets after the service. Sunday services proceed, with the pastor to preach in the morning and Rev HS Worthington of Findlay to preach in the evening in exchange.

A fireless cooker demonstration was held at the Lincoln Grange hall north of Wharton during a joint Farm Bureau and grange meeting on Wednesday night. An actual cooker was built and discussed for uses and advantages with attendees planning to build their own at home.

Frank Boes of northeast of town was injured when a binder’s horse bridled came off. The horses dragged him from the binder and he fell breaking four ribs with several more torn loose.
