National Lime and Stone Plans Dust Control Overhaul

National Lime and Stone Company and Carey village officials outlined a long range plan to curb lime plant dust. The strategy envisions closing much of the current kiln capacity and replacing kilns with modern calcining equipment, with construction starting in 1964 after further research confirms economic feasibility.

Five Inducted From Wyandot County Selective Service

Five young men registered with Wyandot county selective service were sent to Fort Hayes Columbus Monday for induction. Names include James Franklin Savidge Carey route 1 Kenneth Darrell Spencer route 1 Mr Blanchard and Gene Leroy Stansbery Harpster. The board also announced Ted Eugene Walter Carey route 2 and Harley Eugene Egger Harpster were inducted Jan 8.

Sportsman's Club Elect Officers Sunday Meeting

The Carey Conservation Sportsman's Association will elect officers at 2 30 p m Sunday at the Recreational Park clubhouse. Dues payment is the only other requirement to join. members should attend for club activity information. A winter effort by regular workers has improved the clubhouse, which members say is among the county's best.
