A Dodge sedan disappeared Saturday night from Ed Riester Sr.’s business corner at Vance and North. An Essex sedan was later found abandoned near Murray Pipes’ Crawford home with plates removed. A motorist saw two youths with grips walking toward Carey and a license plate was later found in a field near the abandonment site.

The William Chambers property at the corner of Lake and Clay streets sold Saturday at sheriff sale. Amil Pahl bought it for $2,000, including several lots and two houses.
