Dorcas Carey Library Board Re-elects Officers

The Dorcas Carey Public Library board of trustees reorganized January 7 re-electing John Greer as president and Paul Heck as vice president. Carolyn Newhard is clerk and librarian with Sam Wenner as assistant librarian. Other members include Mrs. Dale Frazier Mrs. Walter Klein Mrs. George Newhard Douglas Myers and Dr R B Vogel. December circulation reached 2285 with 24079 for the year an increase of 1643 over 1955. Forty books were added this year. The library subscribes to nine magazines for youth and 53 adult magazines, 12 gifts. Evergreens were planted and the attic insulated improving reading rooms.

Florida Vacationers Visit Friends There

Mr and Mrs Frank Phillips and Mr and Mrs Ralph Dible returned home Friday from a two week Florida vacation. They visited friends in Surfside Miami Beach Miami Springs Largo and St Petersburg. On the St Petersburg pier they unexpectedly met Ernest Dunn and W L Ruffing who had just arrived. Ruffing flew home Sunday after accompanying Dunn to Florida.

Luther League Elects Officers at Christ Lutheran Church

Karen Keller was elected president of the Luther League of Christ Lutheran Church at a parish house meeting. Others named for the year include John McDaniel as vice president Peggy Keller as secretary Karen Terry as treasurer Dawn Dunn as bulletin reporter and Charles Dasher as newspaper reporter. A candlelight installation is set for 6 30 PM Sunday at the parish house. Sara Romig retires as president.

Deloss Loaders Move to New Farm Near Carey

Mr and Mrs Deloss Loader with sons Alan James and Rosalyn plan to move in about two weeks from the L C Dipert farm four miles northeast of Mt. Blanchard to a 60 acre farm five miles west of Carey recently purchased The former owners Earl Beard now reside in Findlay Alan is a Vanlue junior James is a seventh grader and Rosalyn a third grader All will remain in the same school district A public sale is held at the Dipert farm in February at the time to be announced.

Antique Auto Club to Attend Winter Meet in Cleveland

Mr and Mrs Herbert Lenner of Carey and Mr and Mrs Roy Moser of Vanlue plan weekend in Cleveland for the Ohio Region Antique Automobile Club Winter Meet at the Thompson Products Museum. Members will wear attire from the era of their antique cars on Saturday evening.

Methodist Youth Attend Day Camp in Findlay This Saturday

Carey post office posted a 1956 gross of 39 231 71 announced by Postmaster J A Schira. The office is $768 29 short of first class status with expectations to achieve it this year.
