Wyandot County records show total tax delinquency around 45000 dollars. Since last week about 600 dollars has been collected by the county treasurer. Ridge township has the cleanest record with only 3.44 dollars owed on three acres valued at 120 dollars.

Restaurant Man Bound Over In Wage Case

Donald Machelder a Cardington restaurant operator was bound over to the Morrow county grand jury on charges of violating the state minimum wage act. Dorothy Krebs state examiner charged him with employing four high school girls under 18 for as little as four dollars for a 70 to 89 hour week and owing them 409 dollars in back wages for services between May 1 and November 15. He denied the charge and was released on eight hundred dollar bond.

Death of John Niederkohr Rouses Careful Remembrance

John Niederkohr died at his son in law and daughter Herman Schreiner's home on High street after two major surgeries at Mercy hospital Tiffin. He was born September 15 1863 near Bascom Seneca county and died aged 74 3 27. He married Josephine Arend in 1884 and leaves 10 children 47 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral 9:30 Saturday at Our Lady of Consolation church burial in St Marys cemetery. He lived near Carey Jay county Indiana Frenchtown and on a home farm northeast of Carey before moving to S Muncie street. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Consolation church.

Library Board Reorganized In Dorcas Carey Public Library

The Dorcas Carey public library board met Monday night January 3 in regular session to pay bills swear in new members and organize for 1938. New members are Mrs S R Bame and Supre W S Huffman. Harti was reelected president and Mrs J Kohmann vice president. Carolyn Newhard named librarian and secretary treasurer with Mrs William Pontius as assistant librarian. Other members include Mrs Homer Wonder Mrs George Newhard and John Jacoby. The board adjourned to meet the first Monday in February after a full report of funds and board records approved by the state inspector.
