Risner Case Dismissed In Carey Disturbing The Peace
Carey Police closed one case this week. Adis Risner aged 27 of Adams Street pleaded not guilty to disturbing the peace cited by Officers Pahl and Orians for a disturbance at Orville Twining’s business. Bill Johnson of Upper Sandusky did not appear and the case was dismissed.

Wallace Williams, a four month student at Oklahoma State Tech, demonstrated cooking prowess during a Christmas dinner at the Poes home in Fostoria. He prepared a feast including beef stroganoff, roasted suckling pig, and elaborate ice carvings while his wife studies cake decoration. Williams has earned honors in Chicago and at the school and aims to lead a large restaurant or start a catering service after graduation.

Four traffic accidents with injuries and damage occurred Thursday. Melvin R. Presler 25 Carey operator of a 1953 Ford struck roadmarker signs on Ohio 199 north of Upper Sandusky. cited for driving under the influence. In a separate crash on US 23 south of Carey a 1960 Opel driven by Nance E. Malone struck the rear of a 1963 Chevrolet driven by Floyd F. Finnicum. Opel totaled, Malone cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Bucyrus Native Transfers to Colorado Base for Air Intelligence Training
Robert H. Traisch 18 son of Mr and Mrs Gilbert Traisch of Bucyrus has completed basic training at Lackland AFB Texas and transferred to Lowry Tech Training Center Denver Colorado. He is promoted to Airman Third Class and will undergo 48 weeks of technical schooling in air intelligence as part of the Aerospace program. He is grandson of Mr and Mrs Howard Coakley and graduated Bucyrus High School last June.

Damage and Theft Hit Mohawk High School
Damage by vandalism and theft at Mohawk High School near Sycamore over the weekend is estimated at 1000 dollars. Two typewriters and a portable television were stolen. Entry was gained by breaking rear and cafeteria doors and a large front window was shattered. The office typing room and library were ransacked. Investigation by Wyandot County Sheriff’s Department continues.
