Volleyball class finals crown Juniors over peers
Week of Dec 21 ended the Volleyball class tournaments with the Juniors defeating all three other teams. Seniors lost only to the Juniors while Sophomores beat Freshmen. Sophomores only won against Freshmen. Teams were chosen by Glenda Smiley and Mrs. Hawk with notable effort selecting the sophomore squad.

Locals Lose On Overnight Jaunt
The Carey high school five traveled to Columbiana December 28 with 16 players riding private cars for a 160 mile trip. Columbiana defeated Carey 78 to 50 as Corron and Sizemore were held to 10 points each. The trip featured a postgame dance and meals, plus a nearby double header set for Ada on Friday January 7 at 7:30 p.m.
