Scott McKinnon Dies After Heart Attack in Carey
Scott McKinnon longtime Carey resident dies at about 1 30 AM from a heart attack while preparing for bed. Private funeral held Saturday at 1 30 PM at the residence with Rev Paul R Clouser officiating. Burial in Spring Grove cemetery. He was born December 4 1854 near Holden Hardin county and aged 80 years 25 days. Surviving are his wife Mary E Bennett nine children two died in infancy three sons Ira Ralph and R D McKinnon of Care and Bucyrus plus fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral attendees included relatives from Lima Waynesfield Kenton and Holden.

The society reorganized at Upper Sandusky courthouse and approved September 17 to 20 for the annual county fair. D A Bloom was elected president with A L Ball as vice president, Ira T Matteson secretary, and Charles Artz treasurer. A state meeting delegate was chosen and audits showed a surplus. renovations funded by CWA and relief projects were completed. The next board meeting on January 19 will set committee appointments and consider a night fair.
