Death of William Riester After Six Months Illness
William Riester aged 67 died Sunday at 4 50 in the home of his sister Miss Rose Riester on Vance Street after six months of diabetes bronchitis and influenza. Born June 20 1862 in Salem township he lived most of his life there moving to Carey six years ago. Survived by siblings Edward, Mrs HE Reinhart, Frances, Rose and Mrs Charles Krupp. two brothers Henry and Frank and one sister Anna Reamer preceded him in death. Funeral Tuesday at Our Lady of Consolation Church with burial in St Marys cemetery. pallbearers listed among relatives and friends from nearby towns.

Strand Shows Hallelujah With New Sound and Decor
Large crowds visited the Strand on Wednesday to hear Hallelujah. The new sound equipment proved highly successful and patrons praised the acoustics after the theatre’s redecorating. Manager Capel oversaw much of the artistic work and the venue now features new carpeting and two up to date theatre spaces.
