Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Keller Ohler died at 10 p.m. on February 23 1963 in a Circleville nursing home after years with diabetes. Born October 13 1882 near Oak Hill Ohio she was wife of Sam Ohler who died August 29 1962. Surviving children include Trilbey Burleigh Ohler Lester Ohler Mrs Chester Knox Mrs Myrtle Ellis and Mrs Rollo Kimmel. Funeral services were at Sperry Funeral Home Jackson with Oak Hill Cemetery burial.

Retiring Chief Pieracini Leaves Carey Police Legacy
Henry Pieracini retires as Carey police chief effective March 1 after 25 years in leadership. Since 1938 the force expanded from three patrols to five with a relief man, cruisers replaced village pickup, and radio was added in 1954. He helped found Wyandot County Lodge 77 of the Fraternal Order of Police in 1948 and attended state conventions through 1962. He and his wife Mary will visit son Henry Jr. in St Joseph Michigan and may work sales for Findlay firm Chester Smith Monuments.

Minor Damage In Hetzel Farm Fire
A heat lamp started a barn fire on the Horace Hetzel farm southeast of Carey near Crawford. Firemen arrived around 8:30 pm with a brief second alarm at 8:45. The hay mow, a post, a hay manger and hay rack burned. One pig died. another pig was burned but recovering. Neighbors helped evacuate livestock including 13 piglets, two sows, 15 feeder pigs, a heifer and calf, two steers, two more heifers, four calves and several sheep. Firefighters were aided by a December hay delivery freeing up space to save the barn. The Hetzel farm is owned by Horace Hetzel of Evansville, Indiana.
