Kiwanis Club Meets With Large Attendance and Plans Banquet

Kiwanis gathered Monday noon with Dr W N Johnson presiding as crowd levels ran high. A G McQuate led singing with stunts by Roy Mallard and Lamar. D A Capell presented entertainment from the Strand Theatre. Farmers night banquet details clarified. Mark Karr and David Dow named hosts for township guests. Real estate transfers in Tymochtee and Crawford townships

Land deals include fourteen acres in Tymochtee sold for one dollar from Harry and Margaret Shoup to Harley F DeTray. Crawford township records show 165 acres to Victoria Ruf, one dollar, and other parcels including lots 92 and 93 in Carey to Elza E and Fern Thornton for one dollar. Additional transfers cover seven and one half acres in Crane township to Rudolph Antener, and subdivisions in Upper Sandusky as well as Sycamore township parcels.

Youth killed by freight train near Forest

Lewis Benjamin of Forest area was instantly killed Sunday morning when he fell from a Pennsylvania freight car returning from Dola with several companions. He struck an iron mail post with terrible force after losing his footing.

William H Heck Died at Home Northwest of Sycamore

William H. Heck died at his home northwest of Sycamore Tuesday evening from heart trouble. He was 65 years old. Funeral arrangements are to be announced by the family.

Aged resident Mrs Margaret Lombard dies in Carey

After two years illness Mrs Margaret Lombard died Friday night at her home on Muncie street at age 74 years 11 months and 1 day Born near Adrian she married William Lombard who preceded her in death Survived by four children twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren Many relatives from nearby towns attended the funeral at Christ Lutheran church with burial in Spring Grove cemetery.

Woman's Home Missionary Society Meets at Lindsay Home

The Foreign Missionary Society of the M. E. church met at Mrs. W. L. Lindsay's home.
