Lonzie Auxier of Salyerville Kentucky and Adaife Gipson were married Friday by Justice of the Peace Jay Marguerat at his office. The bride is the daughter of Sam Gipson. The couple will live here where the groom works as an onion laborer.

The Kiwanis club held a Monday address by Rev. Chas A Bame D D Ashland on remaking America praising Christian Sabbath preservation and school bible study. Ladies Night at the Methodist church drew 80 plus attendees with songs and speeches from Up per Sandusky and Findlay. James I Troke Springfield delivered a spicy philosophy fun and facts talk, while Thomas H Parkinson Columbus spoke on conservation and taxation. The Fathers and Sons banquet at the Lutheran church drew about 115 attendees with talks by Prof. Miller and others, closing with community singing.
Mrs John Hendricks of this city died suddenly from heart trouble Tuesday morning at her sister's home in Toledo where she had gone for a week due to illness. The body will be taken to her daughter's home in Marion and funeral services are expected Thursday. Her son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs D H Hecker left for Toledo Tuesday evening.
A Sunday service welcomed sixteen new members ranging from high school age and older with four baptisms. Planned are large classes of children and adults by Easter. Next Sunday schedule includes Sunday school at 9 15, worship at 10 39, Epworth League at 6 30, pastor’s sermon at 7 30, and a guest preacher Dr David F Helms of Lima on March 1. The pastor will be away briefly visiting Washington Philadelphia and New York.
The tractor short course began last Monday in Riester's garage under H W Wagner of Fredericktown. Eighteen farmers attended the first session, a good turnout given weather. The initial days covered gas engine mechanics, care and overhauling. Two tractors were dismantled on the third day, with several more expected.
The Carey Fire Department held its annual banquet Monday evening at Moose Hall with members and families enjoying a bountiful supper at 7. The program included a piano duet by Mildred Mann and Esther Pontius, singing by the Stombaugh children Luella Ralph and Thomas with Margaret at piano, remarks by the Chief Ho Wonder and others, followed by dancing.
A son arrived for Mr and Mrs Linus Reinhart on Saturday night. A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Lester Putman on Sunday afternoon. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Arthur Rueble near Adrian on Tuesday morning.

Oyster supper will be served at the Charles Starkey home on Saturday evening February 21 1925. The Benefit Ladies Aid of the A. B. Church will also serve sandwiches pie and coffee. Everyone is welcome.
The public is invited to a supper and social evening at the parish hall on Tuesday February 24 to benefit Our Lady of Consolation Church. Proceeds support church projects and community outreach.

Salem basketball makes its second year with a two game slate at Carey. The Salem boys face Careys second team to offset inexperience while the Salem girls meet Carey girls first team after gaining experience.
Friends gathered at the home of Mr and Mrs J P Halloran on Tuesday evening for a birthday surprise. A pot luck supper followed by rock games brought the group together including Mr and Mrs Frank Ward Wanda Ward Miss Oneill Ward of Wharton and others.
