The Upper Sandusky Farmers Institute occurred Friday and Saturday. Several marriage announcements take place including Walter Gottfried and Meta Gohl, Edward W. Roup and Mary Moll, Clarence Young and Edna Weininger, Homer Markley and Winona Larick, Norvall Foreman and Nellie Fullman, all in or near Upper Sandusky. A cognovit judgment for 735 dollars was secured by Miss Mary Weinandy in common pleas court against C. W. Kotterm an and Joseph Mahle. County highways update notes 105 miles being paved at two miles per year under state aid. Major fire damages a house owned by George Mann of Marion. Sheriff Orwig conducted a land sale for 5 750 dollars. Chief updates include a 94 year old celebration for Mrs Catherine Lidel and railroad station planning correspondence. Removal of bone fragment after Toledo motorcycle injury
Clarence Clinger underwent surgery at Robinwood Hospital Toledo to remove a diseased bone piece from his right leg. About three inches were removed and the wound was expected to heal, though the leg remains nonfunctional. A Friday artery bleed required a second anesthetic to stop the hemorrhage.
