Teachers Meet After School Discuss Tax Returns
Last Monday after school teachers held their regular monthly meeting in room 18. Paul Lea from the Internal Revenue department explained filing income tax returns. About 20 attendees were fed at Friday noon. A group of home economics girls baked Friday morning to broaden the menu. The third year class took a trip to Findlay Wednesday afternoon to study spring materials and patterns. Clerks in stores provided helpful information as the girls prepare for their upcoming sewing project.

Serious automobile crash injures Mrs Hurd and C W Brayton
Mrs Genevre Hurd and her brother C W Brayton were in a serious two vehicle accident on Route 23 near the W P Reile farm south of Carey. Hurd drove a Packard sedan that skidded on ice and hit a northbound Pontiac coach driven by C W Hansen of Upper Sandusky. Both victims suffered facial cuts and Hurd a concussion. they were taken to Upper Sandusky and then Bucyrus City hospital. Brayton has recovered. Hurd is improving. The Packard was badly damaged with a sprung frame.
