Aberdeen-Angus State Meeting in Columbus Elects New Officers
The Aberdeen-Angus association met in Columbus on January 25 with 200 breeders present. New officers were elected: J. D. Miller of Mechanicsburg as president and Charles Swafford of Eaton as vice president. A cattle sale that evening averaged $360 per head. a bull sold for $1250 and a group of six heifers averaged $310. The group endorsed the war effort with the slogan Buckeye Blacks Are Better.

Findlay Police Recover $35,800 Worth Property
Findlay police recovered automobiles bicycles and other items valued at 35 806 in the past year Chief Leo M. Larkins reported. The annual tally lists 514 arrests up from 528 in 1942 with 147 for investigation 139 for drunkenness and 46 charged with driving under the influence. Seventy six were jailed on safekeeping technical charges.
