Snow Storm Knocks Out Carey's Phone Lines
A heavy snowstorm knocked out about 40 Northern Ohio telephone lines in Carey Monday evening with four poles toppled by the weight of the snow. Wires were restored gradually and by Tuesday afternoon service was nearly normal. Earlier a Toledo man Gordon Brown, 31, lost control on Route 23, snapping poles and suffering facial lacerations as his car was demolished. long distance service also disrupted briefly.
