Elks Offer Free Christmas Movie For Carey and Upper Sandusky Kids
The Upper Sandusky Elks Lodge No 83 hosts two free Christmas movie events for children in Carey and Upper Sandusky this Saturday. At 10 a.m. in Carey Theatre the kids receive candy after Santa visits the lobby, and at 1 p.m. in Star Theatre Upper Sandusky children watch another film with candy gifts handed out later by Santa at 2:45 p.m. About 3,000 children benefit annually while parents shop during the shows.

Educator Frederick Kinley Dies at 69 in Columbus
Frederick L. Kinley, 69, former Upper Sandusky High School teacher and Findlay High principal and superintendent, died of a heart attack in Riverside Methodist Hospital Columbus. Graveside rites were held Tuesday at Old Mission Cemetery. Kinley, a native of Upper Sandusky, had lived in Columbus since 1952 after retirement in 1952. He was son of Lewis Kinley and Gertrude Hetzel and Grace Kollar of Upper Sandusky, with sister Mrs Edward Burgg of Shaker Heights.
