Band Concert Tuesday Night at School Auditorium
Two bands will perform in a school concert on Thursday evening December 19 at 8 o clock in the high school auditorium. The Junior Band of 30 players from grades five to eight opens with a flute solo by Joyce Myers and selections by Jimmy Patterson and Pete Wonder. The Carey High School Concert Band follows with highlights including White Christmas, The Glow Worm, and Theme from the B flat Minor Piano Concerto. Washington Post will accompany a band majorettes exhibition. admission is free.

Carey man suffers stroke at Porcelain Products plant
S W McChesney of Carey had an apoplectic stroke Saturday noon while in the Porcelain Products office with J G Loy of Findlay. Taken to Findlay hospital his condition remained poor. He is 49 and had directed the Carey plant for 20 years. A brother and sister were visiting Carey.
