The Carey Philharmonic Society presents a Christmas program at 8 p.m. Sunday in the High School auditorium. Richard Wink directs with Mrs. Eugene Orians at the piano. Reynolds Couple Injured In Two Car Crash Near Stryker
Mrs Mary Reynolds 31 faces serious injuries including fractured shoulder and ribs after a collision at Routes 6 and 191 near Stryker. Her husband Robert Reynolds 38 from Detroit suffered a bruised leg and shock but was not hospitalized. Other driver Eugene Burkle 25 of Tiffin was treated for concussion head injuries and a fractured leg at Fort Wayne Veterans Hospital. The Reynolds were en route home after visiting relatives.

Fire damages sorghum on George Chadwick farm west of Carey
A small blaze of undetermined origin destroyed six shocks of sorghum on the George Chadwick farm west of Carey. Harrison Opp saw the fire around midnight Sunday, waking Mr and Mrs Chadwick who called Vanlue volunteers. Firefighters extinguished it before the nearby barn was threatened.
