Military funeral for Pvt Wallace C Baker age 34 son of Mr and Mrs Allan Baker of Carey was held Monday at 2 pm at the First Methodist Church with Dr O B Ford officiating burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery Goff funeral home handled arrangements Five Wyandot county American Legion posts joined in the rites and color bearers from each post attended The body arrived in Carey Saturday and lay in state at the church before burial Baker served with the 325th Glider Infantry 82nd Division and saw action in Holland and at the invasion before his death February 3 1945 in Europe.
