Junior class presents a three act play Were Comes Chiartle vse Here Comed ae A at the school auditorium Friday December 10 with a matinee for grade children Thursday at 1 30 pm. Participants include Arlene Rickle Eugene Ulrich Barbara Johnson Eugene Jacoby Donald Brown Anita Johnson Ardyth Byers Donald Krebs Rosemary Rook and Richard Bland. Gail Cooperrider science teacher has joined the U S Army at Fort Hayes Columbus. A letter from him praises the school and expresses regret at leaving Carey. Second six week tests completed and grade cards issued. Pvt Charles Mathern home on furlough visited the school. Seventh graders dramatized benefits of a community chest at chapel. Grade operetta Trouble in Toyland tryouts finished. theme by Parfitt and Valeria Thomas. Miss Lyden the math teacher survived a train wreck on the Ambassador with only shock and resumed duties.

Palm Leaf Rebekah Lodge Holds Annual Inspection

Palm Leaf Rebekah lodge held its annual Inspection on Tuesday evening November 23. Mrs Callie Grunditsch district No 17 inspected and conferred the Rebekah degree on two new members. The lodge earned an excellent grade with ninety five members present and visitors from Upper Sandusky Vantue and Wharton. Rummage Sale For Red Cross Ambulance Donation

Carey Kiwanis drew 27 members Monday evening. S Set led a talk as Henry N. Kuhn Jr of Tiffin recounted his wartime ordeal as a radioman and gunner aboard an Army bomber shot down over Italy. He was captured then escaped, a gripping testimony for the club.

Mr and Mrs J H Gilliland sold 60 acres of their farm east of Carey to their son George Gilliland. Ware bought the Newton Harman house in McCutchenville and will move there in the spring. The farm lies north of the A C and Y railroad.
