Samuel Geiser Jr and Mrs Mary A Youngpeter, both of Carey, were married Thursday at 2 PM at the English Lutheran parsonage by Rev W H Kibler. They were unattended and will reside in Carey where the bridegroom is a truck driver for Standard Oil.
The C L business meeting will be held Tuesday evening September 4. Envelopes for the Fold piece to be given away at that time should be brought to the meeting.
The county W. C. T. U. conducts its monthly service at the county home next Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. Rainer of Wharton will present the talk. Everyone is cordially invited.
The Ogg Arnold reunion will be held Sunday September 2 at Carey Park. John L. Shumaker of Upper Sandusky is president and Anna L. Weininger of Tiffin is secretary.
Cole family reunion set for Carey Park this Sunday September 2. Members are invited to gather for fellowship and remembrance at the community picnic.
Memorial Evangelical Church plans a Labor Day Homecoming on September 2 with a 9 15 morning service led by Rev. W B Bailey. Former pastors will speak at 2 30 and 8 00 with special music and a Cash Rally to reduce a 2206 debt on the new Sunday school addition. Dinner and supper at homes. bring basket lunches for park or basement seating.
The schedule lists games this Thursday between the Lutherans and Methodists and Friday with the Legion facing the K of C. On Labor Day three afternoon contests invite local fans to watch the Lutherans, Methodists, and Legionaires in action.
Nelson Newman becomes sales manager for Tor Stowe Motor Sales in Carey and moves from Upper Sandusky with his family. He leases C. E. Palmer residence on E Findlay Street and takes the position left by Sam Krebs who resigned as sheriff candidate. Earle Thomas arrives to head Chevrolet service at Stawe Motor Sales and relocates with his family to the Pound property on Frederick Street.
County Superintendent J H Grove of Upper Sandusky and Architect Thomas McLaughlin of Lima attended a public meeting of the local board of education. Three plans are under consideration for consolidation including repair of the East grade building a new building and a smaller new building with wings to the old structure for a junior high.
Unusually fine onions are being grown in the locality this season. Several specimens from John Hendricks's farm northwest of town were shown at the Peoples Bank. On Tuesday buyers bid about 1.75 dollars for white onions and 1.50 dollars for yellow ones.
The Asphalt Block Paving Co of Toledo applies tar and sand to Vance Street to seal cracks between brick pavement sections this week.
A baby boy weighing 9144 pounds was born Saturday morning to Mr and Mrs P W Jacob of Findlay Street. The family reported the newborn as healthy and resting with relatives nearby in the city.
The Carey public schools will begin the 1928-1929 term on Monday September 10. Morning assembly time changes to 9:00 AM with bells at 8:40 8:55 and 9:00 for tardiness. Dismissals follow a six hour schedule for high and upper grades while lower grades start and end at different times. Grade allocations place third and fifth at West building and fourth sixth seventh eighth at East. West building teachers include Miss Perkins Miss Shilling and Mr Constein. East building staff includes Miss Dame Miss Wentling Miss Garman Mrs Criger Mr Laird and Miss Myers. Textbook lists and supplies are itemized by grade.
Wyandot County evangelical churches announce a broad slate of pastor changes for the coming conference year. Rev. N. W. Sager moves from Upper Sandusky to Bucyrus, with Rev. L. C. Hoover of Canton succeeding him. Rev. Neil G. Perkins replaces oldiron at Upper Sandusky, and Rev. C. Bi Mger will lead the Carey church, succeeding Rev. Hi. Naumann. Presiding Elder H. V. Summers shifts to Akron Calvary with K. A. Sain taking Summers’s Columbus district post. Additional local moves include J. Paul Jones at Findlay St. Paul and W. S. Bailey in Mansfield.
The 27th Ruehle family reunion was held Saturday at Carey Park with over 100 attendees. A picnic dinner followed by a brief business meeting set the next reunion for the last Saturday in August 1929 at the same location. Officers were reelected and arrangements coordinated by Lester Ruehle EB A Wetzel William Sprow, with relatives from Shelby Upper Sandusky Youngstown Toledo Pembrokeville Bradner Genoa Sylvania Tiffin and Fostoria attending.
A Miami couple's two year old child, A R Kokenge, is under daily rabies treatments at Dr Biggs in Findlay after a pet kitten bit the lip during a visit to Avilia Indiana. The cat tested positive for rabies and the child will need 21 treatments to be safe.
Married Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist parsonage Rev Joseph B Shellhaas officiating. The couple Mr Isayene W Monday and Miss Ruth Thelma Puchta were witnessed by Mrs Monday and Mrs Puchta. The bride wore blue georgette.
The Ohio conference of the Methodist church will be held in Springfield from September 4 to 10. Rev Joseph B Shellhaus will be out of town all next week attending the conference and can be contacted via Troy Ohio care of S Ko Shellhaus Route 2.
Coach McCord calls all football candidates to gather at the high school on Tuesday September 4 between 3:30 and 2:00. All bays interested are urged to attend.
Community event at Stae school New Riegel on Sunday September 2 offers a chicken supper from 4 to 10 pm with lawn fety activities for attendees.

Events include receptions, masses at Shrine Church, a Second Degree exemplification, a parade from Galt House, opening remarks by A L Arnold, a convention sermon by Rt Rev S A Stritch, and a banquet plus a memorial Mass for departed members.
The annual Ohio conference session concluded at Sabina with Rev A T Baughman reprieved to lead the newly organized Methodist Protestant church in Findlay. Rev E K Barss was also reappointed to the Arlington circuit, while Findlay’s church occupies the former Pine Avenue Presbyterian building.
Brooks Peters of Tiffin displayed two motor boats at Elm Hills Sunday for the Moose picnic and Wright Grimes reunion. The boats attracted attendees and added to the day’s recreation.
