Home from a European cruise, Midshipman Maurice Bradley will arrive at noon. The voyage touched Copenhagen, Greenock Scotland, Lisbon and Gibraltar with side trips to Edinburgh and Dublin. Death of Jacob Spokey at 63 in Ohio farm community
Jacob Spokey of three miles northeast of town died Tuesday at 3 30 am after years of diabetes and gangrene. Funeral service at 2 00 pm at the Lutheran church with Rev. Lewis P. Speaker officiating. Burial in Spring Grove cemetery. Born December 4 1859 in southern Germany, he came to the United States in 1880 and settled at Alvada. He married Mary Deckler in 1890 and had one son William. Surviving sister Mrs. William Balzer of Warren and one sister-in-law. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
