The Andrew Foos reunion gathered August 24 at the Rader home with about 40 people from Chicago Crown Point Findlay Bascom North Baltimore and Carey. Officers elected include President Tom Sherman Vice President Glen Phillips and Secretary Treasurer Mrs Allen Powell. Next year’s gathering will be hosted by Mr and Mrs Glen Phillips.
A compilation lists residents admitted or discharged on August 20 to 25 across Blanchard Valley Hospital Wyandot Memorial Hospital Tiffin Mercy Hospital and nearby facilities. Names include Solomon Ruffing Daniel Lynch and others with their home towns such as Carey McCutchenville Wharton and Upper Sandusky. A public sale is announced at 201 S 4th St Upper Sandusky. The Carey Garden Club met August 26 at Memorial Park with a potluck and notes on annual projects and conventions.
Attendants announced for the wedding of Gloria Wisner and Walter Zuchowski Jr. of St Louis Missouri in October. The bridal party includes Matron of Honor Shirley Husted and bridesmaids Mary Ann Lorenz Nancy Wisner Susan Becker Pat Swederske, with a flower girl Melussia Lorenz and a ring bearer Mike Ferguson. Best man Matthew Loczylowski and groomsmen Mike Becker Robert Wisner Michael Lorenz Richard Ziegler. Ushers are Butch Vollmer and Jerry Husted.
