Carey High 4-H Teams to Represent at Ohio State Fair

Four judging teams from Carey High School’s agriculture department will compete at the Ohio State Fair. Teams have trained since July and will face rivals from across the state for premiums totaling over 1400 dollars. Members include Glen Hudson, Carl Johnson, Dale Robison, and others with alternates in dairy, grain, and poultry. The fair runs August 31 to September 2 following recent Ashley fair experience.

Wentz Family Reunion Held At Forest Park

The 16th Wentz family reunion drew 174 attendees last Sunday in Forest Park. Henry Wentz of Forest displayed a German dated Bible from 1628, kept within the family for six generations. Music by S. O. Dumm and his daughters Mary and Edna accompanied recitations by children as relatives from numerous towns gathered.

Pierce Reunion Held At Riverside Park

About 45 Brashares family members gathered for the annual reunion at the park. Officers were reelected at the business meeting with Hugh Brashares of Wharton as president and Raymond Kear of Wharton as secretary treasurer. Attendees included Ida Green and family from Lansing and many relatives from nearby towns. The next reunion is set for the third Sunday in August 1928 at the park.
