Cyrus Locher Dead Cleveland Attorney Dies at 51
Cyrus Locher a Cleveland attorney died Saturday after a month of illness following gallstone surgery. He was 51 and had served as state director of commerce and was appointed United States Senator to succeed Frank B. Willis. Born on a Bluffton area farm, he was buried there Tuesday. he spoke at the Pioneer Picnic years ago.

Funeral Attended for Rev Leo Greulich in Syracuse
Rev Aloys M. Fish attended the funeral of Rev Leo Greulich in Syracuse. The late priest, once minister provincial of the Franciscans, served 17 years in that office. Death followed a year of illness from heart trouble. Fr. Fish, returning home, helped accident victims near Little Sandusky where Frank E. Thorp of Columbus was killed.

Visit to Indiana and Ohio Ends With Family Reunion
Mr. and Mrs. Levi Hile and Mrs. George Huff returned Friday from a week long motor trip through western Ohio and Indiana. They visited Bluffton Van Wert Delphos Plymouth Rochester Warsaw and Akron. At Plymouth they attended a family reunion with many relatives present. They noted good corn crops along the route and fishing as a popular pastime.

Pilgrims Rally at Shrine in Toledo for Mass and Candles
A massive Toledo pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation at Carey ended with over 10 000 present Sunday and 50 000 in Carey. The day featured multiple masses, confessions in many languages, a candle procession led by clergy, and blessings of religious articles amid prayers and benediction. Fire alarm causes excitement among pilgrims at Shrine
Last Thursday forenoon about 5 000 pilgrims gathered near the Shrine when a fire alarm sounded. Firemen rushed to the S A Chesebrough residence on W Findlay Street after a gasoline spill caused by a car ride incident. The false alarm led to wasted dye and minor vehicle risks as bystanders intervened.

4-H Happy Hour Club Meeting and Demonstrations
The 4-H Happy Hour sewing club met at Mrs. C H Wakter's home with strong turnout. Demonstrations covered joining collars to necklines and drafting a kimono nightgown pattern. Hand Severely Injured Worker Near Town
John Boyce of west of town was injured Saturday forenoon while moving rails with the A C and Y tracks crew near the stone quarry. A 1170 pound rail slipped and tore flesh from the first three fingers. Healing well but unable to work for at least a month. Boyce has worked on the line for 10 years and was drafted to assist foreman. This is his first workplace injury in all those years.

Three Injured In Marion Road Collision
William Barth of Mononcue and Benjamin Kemmerly of Carey were badly hurt Monday evening around 9 30 when their Overland sedan collided with James Brooks’s Ford roadster on the Marion road. Barth suffered a broken ankle while Kemmerly had head and eye bruises. Brooks had minor injuries. All were taken to Marion City hospital for treatment. Kemmerly to be moved to his mother’s home on West Findlay Street that evening.

Infant Death After Birth near Athens
