Kitzler Family Led Carey Coal Docks Since 1906
Felix A. Kitzler has been foreman at the Carey coal docks since 1906 and earned praise from superiors for his record. His father Frank also served as foreman from 1885. The plant now uses an automatic hoist and crusher with seventy tons per hour capacity, surplus bins of 500 tons, and daily loading of 300 to 400 tons into engines. A new conveyor was installed under J. P. Conley of Columbus, Ohio, supervision.
