Liberty Airless Tire Corporation Names New Officers
An important meeting of the Liberty Airless Tire Corporation directors resulted in a new slate of officers. Irvin Jordan of Cleveland becomes president and general manager, L C Sturgis of Cleveland is secretary and superintendent, Geo Ash of Cleveland treasurer, R H Brown of Cleveland superintendent of the tire department, and W J Ingram of Cleveland becomes auditor. The plant will manufacture both pneumatic and solid tires as soon as power is available.

Auto collision near Carey injures none
Mr and Mrs Harrison Worst and Mrs Clarence Musgrave and son Dale traveled to Findlay on business. Returning they crossed the Sherman Tong road five miles west of Carey and were struck by a speeding local freight headed for Carey. The impact broke a wheel and damaged the car. no one was hurt beyond a few bruises. The speeder jumped to avoid collision and was wrecked.

Stoll Family Holds 11th Annual Reunion at Carey Park
The Stoll reunion drew about 60 relatives on Saturday August 8 at Carey park. After lunch officers were elected with C A Wentz as president John Boehm vice president Hattie Stoll secretary treasurer and Hester Wentz Lela Stoll and Kathryn McDonald on the program committee. The group plans the next gathering for the first Saturday in August 1922 at the same site.

24th Hull-Hoff Family Reunion Held at Hull Home
The 24th annual Hull-Hoff reunion met at C. H. Hull’s east of town on Sunday. Weather kept attendance to 25, with a dinner served indoors. C. H. Hull presided as president and led the business meeting. Officers were reelected, with Mrs. Will Fletcher of near Marion as secretary and treasurer. Next year’s gathering set for the third Sunday in August at Will Fletcher’s home west of Marion.

Carey Tires Defeat Sycamore Legion 13 to 1 at City Park
Carey Tires dominated Sycamore Legion 13 to 1 at the city ball park last Sunday. Orians pitched strongly for Carey from the start and three outfield catches helped prevent more runs by Sycamore. Next Sunday, Carey will host Fostoria at the same park.

George Zahn has purchased a farm about 6 miles north of town from John Schira and moved his family there. The property spans over 60 acres and they previously lived on the west farm sold to Eatherton and Parker with Adrian as their new address.

Pilgrimage to Shrine of Consolation Draws Vast Crowds
The Our Lady of Consolation shrine in Carey closed a nine day pilgrimage that became the largest in its history. About 10 000 pilgrims visited with some bodies healed and many expressing thanks. A Chicago or Cleveland delegation joined Hungarians Syrians and non English speakers for multilingual sermons and processions.
