Sunday evening crowds at the park welcomed the Carey Moose Band with over a thousand attendees including visitors from nearby towns. A portable stand funded by community donations supported the performance and proceeds covered lumber costs. more Sunday concerts are planned if weather allows.
The Poverty Run reunion last Saturday brought eight Brayton siblings together for the first time since 1883. The original eleven children saw two infant deaths and one at 61. Attending were Elijah Brayton of Pueblo, James Brayton and wife of Los Angeles, John Brayton of Forest, Olive Brayton Powell of Benton, Lavonia Ebersole of Arcadia, Lucy Heiston of Arcadia, Ea McNutt of Patterson, and Dr W G Brayton of the city.

Gilbert Brayton a Mass resident and noted globe trotter and printer arrived Monday for a family visit in Deerefield. He has worked in nearly every country and was in France at the outbreak of the European War. He is nephew of Dr W G Brafton of the city.

Voter turnout was light with Democrats ahead in Precinct A at 59 to 20 for Republicans and Precinct B at 61 for Democrats. G H Whaley and son Paul attended the funeral of Thomas Carroll at Waldo on Saturday. Carroll, linked with Whaley in road work, died suddenly from acute indigestion. He had returned home Friday after feeling unwell and was expected to return Monday. a message of his death reached Thursday for a Wednesday passing. He was past sixty.
Night Policeman Al Corwin arrested John Joseph on a quarantine violation at the Jones home where Mrs Nellie Jones Wohlgamuth is ill. He was fumigated and immunized, then held before Mayor Wonder Winetee who sentenced him to 30 days in the Toledo workhouse with $20 costs. Lytle Jr. took Joseph to Toledo. The offense carries a penitentiary penalty.
