Marine Keith Cole Wounded Again in Vietnam Battle
Keith Cole son of Mrs. John Cole of Carey Ohio was wounded for the third time this year while serving as a machine gunner with Company Delta, 1st Battalion 4th Marines in Thua Thien Vietnam near the DMZ. He had ten months in Vietnam and returned to the States July 22 to July 25, and was treated at Great Lakes Naval Hospital.

Four Carey men and several officials attended the Knights of Columbus meeting at the Commodore Perry Hotel Toledo on July 30 chaired by state officers focusing on the annual ticket sale for the Youth Campaign. The July 25 picnic at Water Works Park drew about 60 members with Father Kobinski and District Deputy George Flynn among guests. The next K of C meeting is set for August 8 at the K of C Hall.

Gasoline theft case heard in Findlay court
Robert L. Craft of Trenton Michigan forfeited a $50 bond in Findlay Municipal Court for petty larceny. The charge by Hancock County Sheriff's Department involved attempting to steal gasoline on July 23 from the Oral Shafer farm in Marion Township. The gasoline value was under $10. Two area men connected to Craft were mentioned but not charged.

Disorder report at Carey High School prompts charges
Carey police say two local boys will be charged in Wyandot County Juvenile Court over vandalism at Carey High School. They were found in the building at about 6 40 p m on July 27. Duplicating fluid ruined 300 floor tiles glue poured on sewing machines ink placed in drinking fountains and other minor disorder noted.
