The 45th annual Carey high school commencement will be held Friday May 20 with J Neumann state librarian Columbus as speaker. May 3 Junior senior banquet May 17 senior class play and May 165 Baccalaureate sermon noted. Bluffton college field secretary Mr Smucker addressed students Monday sharing thoughts on success.

High School Band to Perform in Local Events
The high school band will cooperate with Strand theatre for the Looky picture on May 9 and with a George Washington show on May 4. Under Herbert Hutchinson the band will attend the annual festival at Upper Sandusky on April 30, with a 3 pm parade and massed concert on the courthouse lawn and an 7 pm evening concert at the Senior High auditorium with 35 cent admission. Tickets are available at the high school office. Carey band will march Saturday between 12 and 12 30, performing concert numbers. Carey has new uniforms for the event.

Embalmer Harry Bristoll Passes State Board
Harry Bristoll of Bristoll and Kear passed the state board examination held in Cleveland on April 11 12 and is now a registered embalmer.
